On Stubeck, the tobogganers´mountain (12 km from Gmünd) – the winter has a few surprises for you, and certainly not everyday one!
For example the 8 km natural toboggan run – on the access road or the 4 km piste toboggan run on the Sonnalm Stubeck from the “Eggenkopf”.

For piste tobogganing, ascent is only possible by Gipfeltaxi summit taxi (Minimum: 8 persons). Fron the summit you can then hurtle down along the piste, on skis or toboggan, back to the lodge.

At the Frido-Kordon-Hütte there is also a fairy tale meadow, where children and parents can let off steam. And a curling rink invites one to have fun. Numerous options are available here for winter hiking and touring. It´s really cosy and delicious when one returns to the Frido-Kordon-Hütte or the Wölflbauerhütte to get one´s strengh back.

It is possible with pre-booking to be collected by the Rodeltaxi tobogganers´taxi at the bus stops along the access road (subject to charge). There is also the option of being collected direct from your accommodation. Guided snowshoe hikes possible on request and registration.
