Gallery Gmünd
The Gallery Gmünd was one of the first art spaces in Gmünd and has been exhibiting young art for 17 years. Emerging contemporary Austrian artists are presented in three or four changing exhibitions each summer at the Gallery in the narrow street “Hintere Gasse”. The building of the gallery itself is somewhat special, being a transformed and reconstructed stable building that offers a unique exhibition space for contemporary art. This year’s gallery curator is young and dedicated artist and art historian Linda Thalmann.

Roman Pfeffer: “REZENT”
Sculpture and Installations
By the means of agglomeration and irony Roman Pfeffer transforms everyday objects into his works of art, bursting the boundaries and uniting architecture, sculpture, painting and video installation. Playing with language elements and titles such as “Sediment” adds an unexpected additional layer of meaning to his works. Since 2009 Roman Pfeffer has been working on the subject of time and the transient nature of all things, which form a strong contrast to the age and eternity innate to every mountain. www.romanpfeffer.com
